CIMCCO 2016

“Advanced Turbocharging for Future Powertrain. A new old-idea”

Professor at Universitat Politécnica de Valencia

Prof. José Ramón Serrano runs a research team in IU CMT-Heat Engines of UPVLC formed by an average of 4 teachers-doctors and 4 PhD students. J.R. Serrano researches in the field of Thermal fluid applied to the renewal processes of loading and cleaning of polluting gases of internal combustion engines alternative (MSSS). Within the renewal of the burden of the MSSS, his main area of interest and expertise is the turbo-supercharging and particulate traps. In these areas he has designed and directed the construction of of high temperature bank flow at I.U. CMT-Heat Engines facilities for both the characterization of turbomachinery as catalysts and particulate traps. He has also designed and developed specific software for calculating both things. This software is being used by multinational companies as Renault, Jaguar-Land-Rover and PSA Peugeot-Citröen under bilateral agreements with the University.
