About CIMCCO 2016

The first International Congress of Engines, Fuels and Combustion – CIMCCO 2016 will be held on November 16-18th, 2016 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and hosted by the School of Engineering of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, which is located at the University Campus, Presidente Antônio Carlos Avenue, 6627 – Pampulha – Minas Gerais, Brazil, Zip Code 31270-901. The Congress is being organized by UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil) and UFPS (University of Francisco de Paula Santander, Colombia).

CIMCCO International Congress is an opportunity to exchange ideas, information and cutting-edge researches in the area of engines, fuel and combustion. In addition to high quality technical presentations, the conference includes keynote speakers, many networking opportunities and an overall scientific atmosphere to advance the estate of the art of internal combustion engines.

“Advanced Turbocharging for Future Powertrain. A new old-idea”




Professor at Universitat Politécnica de Valencia

Prof. José Ramón Serrano runs a research team in IU CMT-Heat Engines of UPVLC formed by an average of 4 teachers-doctors and 4 PhD students. J.R. Serrano researches in the field of Thermal fluid applied to the renewal processes of loading and cleaning of polluting gases of internal combustion engines alternative (MSSS). Within the renewal of the burden of the MSSS, his main area of ​​interest and expertise is the turbo-supercharging and particulate traps. In these areas he has designed and directed the construction of of high temperature bank flow at I.U. CMT-Heat Engines facilities for both the characterization of turbomachinery as catalysts and particulate traps. He has also designed and developed specific software for calculating both things. This software is being used by multinational companies as Renault, Jaguar-Land-Rover and PSA Peugeot-Citröen under bilateral agreements with the University.
